Tending to the Parts: Caring, Reframing, and Connecting

This morning we will appreciate our interior parts and their relationships as guides toward harmony with ourselves, each other, and the planet. Using embodiment as a pathway, we might reframe our inner parts from “the good, the bad, and the ugly,” to “the good, no bad, and the relational”.

In this service, Michele will be drawing from the teachings of Internal Family Systems therapy, and embodied practices of yoga, meditation, dance, and physical therapy.

*Please note: There will be an opportunity to move (with all your parts!) before Sunday’s service in a guided, accessible movement-with-music practice. If you plan to participate, please arrive by 9:30 a.m., wear comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat, if you have one. (There will be a few yoga mats and chairs available.) Please contact Michele at michelenierle@gmail.com if you have any questions about the practice.

Bio:

Michele Nierle is a former Berks UU-er and has lived with her spouse Luke in Richmond, Virginia. She recently earned a Masters of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary and served as sabbatical minister at the UU Fellowship of Fredericksburg. She is a yoga and mindful movement teacher, dog-mom, and has designed, implemented, and facilitated engaging whole-person centered programming in various settings for many years. Part of her inner and outer lifework is the appreciation of reintegrating body and mind as a pathway to our collective healing.  She is grateful to be back with her Berks UU roots this morning.
