People who knit or crochet needed !!!

in the 1940’s, Norwegians made and wore red pointed hats with a tassel as a form of visual protest against Nazi occupation of their country. Within two years, the Nazis made these protest hats illegal and punishable by law to wear, make, or distribute.

There is a national movement to make and wear red hats as a sign of our resistance.   We would like to make and sell them to members of our congregation — but we need people who have “average” knitting or crocheting skills to make them!!  We have the patterns and the yarn — you have the skills and a bit of time!  If you or anyone you know is interested in finding out more about this project, please contact Pat Uribe-Lichty at paturli50@gmail.com
