Title: Locating Ourselves: Homecoming in Our Bodies

You may have heard an expression similar to, “coming home to yourself.” What does that mean? What left, and what allowed you to know you came back? This morning we will explore pulling away and homecoming as it relates with the body. During our time together, there will be multiple guided opportunities to sense, move, and land in our bodies.

*Please note:

There will be an opportunity to move and be before Sunday’s service in a guided, accessible movement-with-music practice. If you plan to participate, please arrive by 9:30 a.m., wear comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat, if you have one. (There will be a few yoga mats and chairs available.) Please contact Michele at michelenierle@gmail.com if you have any questions about the practice.

Michele Nierle (she/her) is in a tangled process of unlearning and relearning what it means to live in a body. She is a Health Coach at Berks Counseling Center, using trauma-informed yoga, movement and stillness, and nervous system strategies. Her deep desire is to help herself and others connect with their bodies as a radical act of personal, societal, and environmental healing.

Michele has a Masters of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary. She and her spouse Luke live in Mohnton and are dog parents of Peanut and Leroy.
