A quarter of the money raised by the local anti-hunger fund-raising CROP Walk goes directly to Helping Harvest, which supplies the food for FUUBC’s monthly food pantry.
That’s why First UU is a sponsor for the annual Reading-Berks CROP Walk, which starts at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Grings Mill park in Spring Township. We’re already almost half the way to our $5000 goal, but there’s plenty of time left to join the fun!
Team captain Jim Beidler is recruiting participants and here’s how you can help:
· Sign up to walk on Oct. 12!
· Be a “spirit walker” and register to be a part of the walk symbolically if you are prevented from putting in the actual steps!
· Donate to the team or one of our individual walkers!
